What does "affiliate links" mean on Free?
On the Free plan you'll see clearly-labeled, relevant suggestions — like a high-yield savings account that pays more than yours, or a brokerage with lower fees. If you sign up through one, we get a small referral fee. We never see your data when you click. Pro and Family have zero affiliate links and zero ads.
Do you sell my data?
No. Never. Not your transactions, not your balances, not your behavior, not anything. Our revenue comes from Pro & Family subscriptions and clearly-labeled affiliate links on Free — that's it. No selling to advertisers, banks, or data brokers.
Is there really a free plan forever?
Yes. Unlimited manual accounts, one automatic Plaid connection, net worth and cash flow — free, no card, no expiration. The affiliate links pay for it. If you never upgrade, that's fine.
What exactly do I get with Pro?
Automatic sync for up to 10 accounts (banks, brokerages, loans), full investments & holdings tracking, advanced charts, tax & advanced exports, zero affiliate links, and early access to the AI assistant when it ships.
When will Family be available?
After launch — we're aiming a few months in. We want to build it on top of a stable Pro foundation.
What happens if I cancel Pro?
Your data stays. Your view reverts to the Free limits (1 automated account, manual stays unlimited, affiliate links return). Re-upgrade any time — your history is intact.
How is my data secured?
Plaid handles bank credentials — we never see or store them. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We don't sell anything to anyone, ever.
Can I export my data?
Anytime. Universal CSV export is available on every plan — that's a legal requirement we wouldn't paywall regardless. Pro and Family add tax summaries, custom date ranges, and XLSX/JSON formats.
Is the AI assistant available yet?
Not yet. It's in development — a conversational layer for asking questions about your own money, nothing more. Pro subscribers get access first when it ships.
Why no investment tracking on Free?
Investment data updates, tax-lot tracking, and performance calculations are genuinely expensive to serve. They're the clearest value in Pro — so they live there.
